Ainsley & Matt's Wedding 04/10/08

WOW!! You know those days when everything just goes right? When it all just clicks into place and runs so smoothly!! Well, Ainsley & Matt's Wedding Day was one of those days. Perfect weather, stunning bride, relaxed groom, keen bridal party, great locations - EVERYTHING!!
It was one of those days that you really feel privileged to be part of such amazing family occasion, where it doesn't really feel like work at all. Of course it all took meticulous planning and some of the very best the suppliers the industry has to offer, but that allowed Ainsley and Matt to enjoy a day they truly will remember with the utmost joy for the rest of their lives. We had an absolute ball and we have to say a massive thank you to Ainsley & Matt for letting us play our part in their special day.

Karlee's Glamour Portraits - 01/10/08

Karlee came along to the studio to get some glamour portraits to celebrate her nineteenth birthday. Karlee was really relaxed and chilled out and had a great time being a model for the day. Nadine did the make-up and it looked fabulous as always and because Karlee was willing to get right out of her comfort zone, hanging upside down and balancing in some diferent positions, we got some really stunning imagery with a range of different looks and styles.

Natasha & Sean's Wedding Video - 28/09/08

Natasha & Sean were a last minute booking for video and, being a Sunday, I decided to tag along and give Nadine a hand with the video and take a few stills for the DVD. I haven't been the assistant for a long long time and it was quite different for me not to be directing things.
Natasha & Sean had already booked one of the other Toowoomba photographers to do their photography before meeting us and it's always interesting to watch someone else work!! Having 2 videographers gave us the chance to do some really different stuff, including a very cool "drive-by" of the wedding cars and a "chase" through Toowoomba - Nadine will put a sample online on her blog soon. Although it was quite a relaxing day, it was also a bit frustrating and I much prefer being the lead photographer!!

Amanda & Scott's Wedding 27/09/08

Amanda & Scott are another of our Toowoomba couples who chose the last weekend of the Flower festival for their special day. With really brilliant weather, an absolutely stunning bride and a groom with a really great sense of humour we knew we were going to have an excellent day and we certainly did. Amanda & Scott had St Stephens for their ceremony which always guarantees great photos and then had their location shots at Carlton House, a private residence near the station and at Queens Park. With a late ceremony, Carlton House was the perfect choice, with a wonderful range of photo opportunities before we moved onto Queens Park for some dramatic night photos. Amanda & Scott had the Downs Club for their reception and, after some last photos in the luxurious and historic surrounds, settled in for what was no doubt a great party.

Grace's Portfolio Shoot 23/09/08

Grace was the winner of The Face of Kelli's Daisy Designs 2008 and part of her prize was a modelling portfolio. Grace is planning to go on to Uni to study drama & dance and wanted a really diverse portfolio. She came to the studio armed with a massive range of props and outfits and we had a fantastic day creating some truly stunning imagery. Nadine worked hard too to give Grace a really wide range of make-up changes and different hair-styles and the results are just gorgeous.
Sadly, we didn't get to shoot in Time's Square, but it just shows what can done with a bit of ChromaKey!!

Michelle & Philip's Wedding 20/09/08

Michelle & Phillip were married at Picnic Point on the first Saturday of Toowoomba's Carnival of Flowers. The gardens looked fabulous and the weather was really warm - though I think Phillip may have suffered a little in his full traditional kilt! Michelle looked stunning in a gown she made herself and the weather held out until later afternoon when a storm came through. Not to be deterred, we went back outside and shot some amazing imagery using the electrical storm over the Lockyer Valley as a backdrop.
